Stan D. Blyth
Stan Blyth, a former partner in Dickenson, Peatman & Fogarty, has represented clients in the Bay Area for over 14 years. Stan moved to the Bay Area upon his honorable discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1987, graduating from Sonoma State University in 1990 with degrees in accounting and political science, receiving his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis in 1993, and obtaining his Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1998. While attending law school, Stan interned for the Internal Revenue Service and the Franchise Tax Board.
Stan practices in the areas of income tax, estate planning, commercial transactions and real estate. He also handles commercial and real property litigation. Stan has significant expertise handling tax controversies with the Internal Revenue Service and Franchise Tax Board. Mr. Blyth’s tax controversy work includes audits, appeals, rulings, protests, appellate conferences, closing agreements, as well as litigation in Tax Court and U.S. District Court.
Named a "Super Lawyer" by publishers of Law & Politics in 2004 and 2005, Stan frequently writes and speaks on issues on interest in the areas of taxation, estate planning and commercial transactions.
